Giving back to the Maroubra Community
One of the biggest things I’ve learned through this journey is that being part of a community means much more than simply opening a shop in a suburb.
For me, it’s about showing up, connecting with people, and finding ways to give back whenever you can.
Recently, we had the opportunity to help out at our local community hub in Maroubra, helping serve dumplings to people doing it tough. Across two sessions, we served over 400 dumplings to members of our community..
What made the experience so special was seeing people come together to share some laughs, and enjoy a warm meal together. Moments like these remind me exactly why we started Dumpling Cheers in the first place.
Over the years, food has allowed us to connect with so many different people and cultures, but experiences like this make the journey feel even more meaningful.
I’m incredibly proud that Dumpling Cheers can be part of the Maroubra community in a way that goes beyond markets and business. Being able to support local initiatives and help people where we can is something that means a lot to me and my family.
Because at the end of the day, Dumpling Cheers has always been about more than dumplings. It’s about people.
